Retro Apron
Retro is back….I love this fifties style apron! It’s “sew? easy to make and here are some simple instructions. If you still need help, join me at the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo March 29-31st at the I X Center and take the Hollywood Stars Retro Apron workshop. While you’re there, meet apron pattern designer Mary Beth “Mac? Berg at the Sewing Spot where she’ll demonstrate and she’ll answer any questions you may have. Materials:
- 2 — 1 yard cuts of coordinating fabrics
- 1 package jumbo rickrack to coordinate with the fabrics
- Thread to match fabrics for sewing
- Thread to match the rickrack
- Fabric basting glue stick
- KK2000 fabric adhesive
Sewing Machine Feet:
- Standard “B? foot
- Gathering foot (optional, but helpful!)
- Chenille foot (optional, but helpful!)
- Edge joining foot (optional, but helpful!)
CUTTING DIRECTIONS
Choose your main apron fabric. You will use this for the Apron Body, Ties and Pockets.
For the Apron Body, measure along the selvedge to 13? and snip the selvedge. Tear across the fabric.
