 SPRING STRAW HAT BIRDHOUSE
You'll need:
- a straw hat
- a Cool whip container
- hot glue gun
- craft wire
- ribbon
- silk flowers
- a pen or sharpie
- scissors
- American moss
- exacto knife
I saw this idea in a magazine and they were selling it for about thirty dollars! I'll show you how to make it my way for alot cheaper!
Glue your Cool whip container to the inside of the hat. With your pen or sharpie, draw a circle about an inch and a half diameter on the top of the hat for the opening of your birdhouse. Cut it out with your exacto knife. Glue your ribbon and silk flowers to the hat. Using your exacto knife, cut some small notches in each side of your hat and attach your wire and knot at the ends. Add some American moss inside the birdhouse to get a cozy bed started for your birds. Hang it on your favorite tree and watch them take over! Play the video below for a demonstration.
